Do I need a credit card to start my free trial?
Yes. We ask for a payment method up front so your subscription can continue automatically when your trial ends. You have full access to Carewix during the trial and can cancel anytime before it ends at no charge.
Can I pay yearly instead of monthly?
Yes. Every plan is available on monthly or annual billing. Choosing annual gets you 3 months free — you're charged upfront for 9 months instead of 12, and the rest of the year is included at no extra cost.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
You can export your center's data before cancelling. After cancellation, we retain a copy for a limited period to meet recordkeeping obligations, then permanently delete it.
Can Carewix handle more than one location?
Yes. Our Multi-Location plan supports unlimited locations under one account, with a cross-location dashboard for Owners and centralized billing across sites.
Where is our data stored?
Our primary database is hosted in Canada. Some infrastructure providers we rely on for functions like email delivery may process limited data outside Canada as part of their service — details are in our Privacy Policy.
How does Carewix keep our families' data secure?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based so staff only see what's relevant to them, and every center's data is isolated from every other center's at the database level. See our Security page for the full picture.
Do parents need to download an app?
Parents can access Carewix through a mobile app or a web browser — whichever they prefer. Either way, they only see information relevant to their own child.
Does Carewix handle licensing ratio compliance?
Yes. Ratio tracking is built around each province's age-based staff-to-child ratio rules, with alerts before a room goes out of compliance and inspection-ready reporting.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account billing settings. Changes are prorated for your current billing period.
Is Carewix only for Ontario centers?
No. Carewix is built for childcare centers across Canada, with ratio and compliance rules that adapt to your province.
