1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Carewix, a childcare management platform operated in Canada. By creating an account, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if you're signing up as a center Owner, on behalf of your organization.

2. Accounts and roles

Carewix accounts are role-based — Owner, supervisor, staff, or family/parent — and each role has access scoped to what it needs. The Owner who creates a center's account is responsible for the accuracy of information entered, for managing which users are invited to the center's account, and for ensuring staff and family use of the platform complies with applicable law.

3. Free trial & subscription

New centers may start a free trial period. A valid payment method is required to start a trial, and your subscription will begin billing automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. Specific trial length, billing cycle, and cancellation mechanics are described at checkout and in your account billing settings, and take precedence over any general statement on our marketing pages.

Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Annual billing is charged as a single upfront payment equal to 9 months of the plan's monthly price — the equivalent of 3 months free compared to paying monthly. Annual plans are non-refundable for the remaining term once billed, except where required by law; you can still cancel at any time to stop renewal at the end of the current annual period.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual, as applicable).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Carewix to store or transmit information you don't have the right or consent to collect (for example, entering a child's information without the appropriate parental/guardian consent required by your center's own policies).
• Attempt to access data belonging to another organization on the platform.
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or use the platform to build a competing product.
• Use the platform in a way that violates applicable licensing, privacy, or consumer protection law in your province.

5. Your data

You (the center) own the data you enter into Carewix. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you cancel your account, you may export your data before closure; we retain a copy for a limited period afterward to meet recordkeeping obligations before permanent deletion.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Carewix available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify Owners in advance of planned maintenance that may affect availability.

7. Limitation of liability

Carewix is a tool to help your center manage its operations — it does not replace your center's own licensing, health and safety, or supervisory obligations under provincial law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carewix is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, poses a security risk, or is significantly overdue on payment, with notice where reasonably possible.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify center Owners of material changes by email before they take effect.
